Parties

Yes, DemiCon will have room parties once again! As always, the DemiCon room parties will be lavishly overproduced and decorated. A wonderful time will be had by all on Friday and Saturday nights. Please let us know if you wish to host a room party. Also, if you have never attended a convention before, we have information on what exactly room parties are.

So, what's this magical thing called a room party? Well, actually, it's a party that is held in a room. Betcha never saw that one coming. Any way some people may be ready to call it a day at 10:00 PM (22:00). However, for many people, this is when the social aspect of the con really gets going. Since cons are about a lot more than the scifi, they are about friends, the room parties are where a lot of fun happens. A group of people usually hosts a party in their hotel room. Now, while these parties are not part of the official con, they are open to all convention members. Parties tend to have free snacks and drinks, and keep the fun going for hours. When you attend DemiCon, be sure to catch the various room parties happening every night.

Anyone wishing to host a room party must let us know in advance. You can let us know when you register by checking the "I wish to host a room party" box, or you can contact us at info@dmsfs.org and tell us that way. Since we will not occupy the entire hotel, we are assigning room parties to specific areas of the hotel, please make a room reservation and let us know that you are hosting a party. This year, there will be two floors for room parties: smoking and non-smoking. Please mention your preference, so that we can put you on the right floor. NO room parties will be allowed outside of the designated area.
