Community

There are many things that make conventions unique. There are conventions based on literature, movies, television, and gaming. While DemiCon covers all these areas, we focus the most on the community that is inherent in science fiction fandom. While we do offer literature discussions, movie viewing, panels on television shows, and a gaming area, the most important thing is the people involved in each activity. We have the convention because it is fun for everyone involved. With that in mind, please look at the various small communities that we help to organize:

• Gaming - The employment of time in a profitless and nonpractical way
• Volunteers - Enrich your life by giving back to the community.
• Consuite - Eat, drink, and be afraid, be very afraid.
• Sponsors - We always depend on the kindness of strangers.
• Contacts - Those of us insane enough to agree to run the convention. Hmm, Cthulu isn't looking so bad at the moment.
• Parties - The night life of the convention.
• Guests - The professional artists and authors who attend our convention with us.
