Third person biographies are always awkward to write about yourself, so I'll stick with first person. I was born, raised and educated in Montana, have lived in Chicago and Eugene Oregon and various other places. I live now in a small town just outside of the Tri Cities of eastern Washington state on almost forty acres of land with nine horses and assorted children and pets and my husband of over a quarter of a century. I expect that we'll stay here for a while.
I make my living writing about my imaginary friends, which is pretty cool. Especially since most people who have imaginary friends at my age get a rubber room instead of a paycheck. Lately I've been hanging out with a woman who's a mechanic and a coyote shapeshifter and her friends. The Mercy Thompson urban fantasy books have twice hit number one on the New York Times, which is pretty freaking absurd and awesome at the same time. Fair Game, #3 1/4 in the Alpha and Omega series comes out a couple of months before DemiCon.
